Don’t risk losing your child's Medicaid benefits.

Renewing your child's Medicaid eligibility is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

  1. You should receive a letter in a yellow striped envelope from the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) about 45 days before your child's Medicaid anniversary, explaining how to verify their Medicaid eligibility.
  2. If your child is no longer eligible for Medicaid, don't worry. They may qualify for affordable health insurance with Florida KidCare, another plan from Children's Medical Services.
  3. If you don't receive a letter or are unsure of your child's anniversary date, you can confirm their eligibility with the Florida Department of Children and Families by visiting Myflfamilies.com/Medicaid. You can also visit a local Department of Children and Families office. Find an office near you.

Why is this important?

If you don't verify your child's Medicaid eligibility on time, they will lose their Medicaid benefits. Make sure your address is up to date with DCF to receive your child's redetermination letter in the mail. Visit Myflfamilies.com/Medicaid to update your information.
