Behavioral Health Telemedicine Services Covered by Florida Medicaid

Date: 09/07/23

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

When the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Declaration ended in May, that ended some of the flexibility providers had to offer telehealth behavioral health services to Sunshine Health members.

To clear up any confusion, the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) released a list of community behavioral health services still eligible for telemedicine delivery under all Medicaid products, including MMA, Child Welfare Specialty Plan (CWSP), Serious Mental Illness (SMI), Children’s Medical Services (CMS) Health Plan and Long Term Care (LTC).

Sunshine Health is sharing this information — including the procedure codes and telemedicine modifiers — to help providers deliver the best possible care to your patients, our members.
