Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) Incentive to Help Pregnant Members

Sunshine Health reminds providers that the SBIRT Incentive rewards them for helping deliver the best possible healthcare to our pregnant members.

Providers who complete an SBIRT assessment within each pregnant member's first trimester are eligible for an additional $50 reimbursement per member.

SBIRT is a comprehensive, integrated, public health approach to the delivery of early intervention and treatment services for individuals with substance use disorders and those at risk of developing such disorders.

  • Primary care physicians (PCPs), including MDs and Dos
  • Advanced practice nurses (APRNs)
  • Physician assistants (PAs)
  • Midwives
  • Obstetrician-gynecologists (OB/GYNs)
