Sunshine Health to Provide Behavior Analysis (BA) Services

Date: 01/23/25

Starting February 1, 2025, Sunshine Health will start providing Behavior Analysis (BA) services for Medicaid members up to 20 years of age who require medically necessary BA services.

Providers do NOT need to do anything if an existing authorization is in place. Those authorizations will be extended through the 120-day Continuity of Care (COC) period.

Additionally:

  • Please continue providing all medically necessary services that were previously authorized.
  • Sunshine Health will pay providers at the rate previously received for up to 60 days. After 60 days, providers will be paid at their contracted rate.
  • For existing authorizations with approaching end dates, providers can submit requests via the Sunshine Health Secure Provider Portal.
