Reminder: Maintain CAQH Profile to Prevent Issues

Date: 05/20/26

Sunshine Health reminds providers that they must maintain a complete, current and up-to-date CAQH profile to prevent any issues that could affect your business relationship with the health plan.

A provider’s CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare) profile is a critical component of the credentialing and recredentialing process.

Outdated or incomplete CAQH information could delay or stall application reviews or cause other credentialing issues that could result in a lapse or interruption of your participation in the Sunshine Health provider network.

CAQH Resources

How an accurate CAQH profile helps providers

  • Supports timely credentialing and recredentialing decisions
  • Reduces administrative delays
  • Prevents a lapse or interruption in network participation
  • Ensures provider records reflect current practice information

CAQH Best Practices

  • Frequently review your CAQH profile; do so at least once every quarter
  • Ensure your CAQH profile is fully completed and attested within 120 days
  • Make sure your demographic, licensure, and affiliation details are current
  • Check that the email addresses listed in your CAQH profile are valid, accurate and monitored; missed emails can cause issues
