Claims Submissions on Secure Web Portal

07/18/2019 UPDATE: We notified providers of a web browser issue when using the Sunshine Health Secure Web Portal that caused submitted claims to be denied or rejected erroneously. The issue has been resolved. If you have any questions, please call Provider Services at 1-844-477-8313.

06/20/19: We have become aware of a web browser issue for the Sunshine Health Secure Web Portal that may cause submitted claims to be denied or rejected erroneously. As we work on a solution, please follow the instructions below to ensure this issue does not occur during your claims submissions.

Some web browsers may auto-populate alpha characters, rather than numbers, in the Tax ID fields for the electronic claim form. For example, some provider names are being added to the Tax ID field instead of the numerical Tax ID. This will cause claims to be denied or rejected. For a claim to process successfully, the Tax ID field must include only valid numerical values.

Please follow these steps to verify your Tax ID number appears correctly in the Tax ID field and, if not, correct it.

Step 1: If you see letters in the Tax ID field, you will need to clear this field and type in your numerical billing Tax ID number.

Step 2: Once you have made the correction, confirm that all information is accurate before choosing “Next.”  

To eliminate this error from occurring in the future, see the instructions below for clearing your web browser’s cache. Note that doing so may remove data such as saved passwords, address bar predictions, shopping cart contents, etc. You may wish to record some of your saved information first.

How to clear your cache:

  • To quickly open menus used to clear your cache, cookies and history, first ensure that the browser is open and selected, then press Ctrl-Shift-Delete (Windows), or Command-Shift-Delete (Mac).
  • If the instructions mentioned don't match what you see, you may need to update your web browser to the latest version.
  • If you don’t see the instructions mentioned for your specific version or browser, visit your browser’s help menu and search for “clear cache.” If you are unsure of your browser version, select [browser name] from your browser’s main menu or help menu. If you do not see the menu bar while using Internet Explorer or Firefox, you may need to first press the “alt” key.
