Register for SBIRT Training

Join Sunshine Health for a provider training on Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT). A session will be held on June 5, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Eastern.

This training focuses on screening and referral to treatment for alcohol and substance use for patients in a healthcare setting. Attendees will gain clinical knowledge and skills to implement SBIRT in their practice.

Providers who complete the training will earn 2.5 training hours and 2 Continuing Education (CE) credits. Register for SBIRT training.

Course objectives:

  • Define SBIRT and its six components
  • Identify five screening tools for adults and 5 screening tools for adolescents
  • Discuss two referral to treatment options
  • Review Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Guidelines
