Health Insurance Marketplace
The Health Insurance Marketplace is an online shopping mall of healthcare plans. Sunshine Health's plan is called Ambetter. Ambetter offers affordable health care coverage for individuals and families. Depending on your family size and income, you may even qualify for help to pay your monthly premium.
State-sponsored Medicaid benefits for eligible Floridians. Sunshine Health is a Florida Medicaid health plan that has been providing services in Florida since 2009.
Affordable health insurance plans for families not eligible for Medicaid. The age range is 5 – 18. Eligibility is determined by Florida Healthy Kids Corporation. Sunshine Health works to promote healthy lifestyles through preventive healthcare. This is done by partnering with the primary care providers (PCP) who oversee the care of Sunshine Health Stars and Stars Plus members.
People age 65 and older, under 65 with certain disabilities, and any age with End-State Renal Disease – ESRD (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant) may be eligible for coverage through Sunshine Health Advantage.
Long Term Care
Medicaid Managed Long Term Care for Medicaid enrollees 18 years and older. You also have to meet Nursing Facility level of care. Sunshine Health has the expertise to work with Medicaid and Long Term Care members to improve their health status and quality of life. This is done through the provision of quality services to meet the care needs of members.
Sunshine Health offers a statewide, specialized and comprehensive health plan for Florida’s children with an open child welfare case and those who have been adopted through the child welfare system. Together with our child welfare community-based care partners, we are improving the health and well-being of these children through coordinated care, services and support.
