CMS Health Plan Changes - Coming October 1, 2026
CMS Health Plan will be operated by Molina Healthcare starting October 1, 2026. Sunshine Health is committed to making this transition as seamless as possible for you and your child.
What it means for you and your child
- Your child will stay enrolled in CMS Plan.
- Your child will still have a care manager.
- There will be a continuity of care period to ensure your child does not experience any break in care.
- During the continuity of care period:
- Health care providers should not cancel appointments with current patients
- Providers will be paid by the enrollee’s new managed care plan
- Providers will be paid promptly by the enrollee’s new managed care plan
- Prescriptions will be honored by the enrollee’s new managed care plan
- Existing prior authorizations will be honored by the enrollee’s new managed care plan
