The ARCHER Initiative: Preparing Community Health Centers (CHC) for Disasters

The ARCHER program was launched in 2021 to help community health centers (CHC) deal with the increasing frequency of natural disasters and extreme weather events. Its goal is to help Federal Qualified Health Centers respond to disruptions in patient care during a crisis. The initiative is hosted by Healthcare Ready in partnership with ACU and funded by the Centene Charitable Foundation.

  • Supply Chain Feedback: Do you work in  on supply chain or inventory processes or know someone who does? Healthcare Ready wants your feedback to develop a guide on supply chain resilience. Please share your experience and feedback.
  • Join Healthcare Ready events. Reach out to research@healthcareready.org and to join our list for trainings and webinars on Restoring the Healthcare Workforce for Equity.

  • Disaster Available Supplies in Hospitals (DASH) Tool
    • The interactive DASH Tool helps hospital emergency planners and supply chain providers estimate their supply needs during a mass casualty incident (MCI) or infectious disease emergency.
  • Community Disaster Resilience (CDRT) Tool
    • A HealthCare Ready interactive mapping tool that helps local officials, emergency managers and other stakeholders better understand the overlapping vulnerabilities of healthcare infrastructure and exposure to hazards in their communities.
