Foster Care Centers of Excellence

“Foster Care Center of Excellence” (FCCOE) is a designation Sunshine Health awards medical centers that provide expert, trauma-informed care for youth and families involved in the state foster care system.

Children and youth in foster care can see high quality primary care providers at a Foster Care Center of Excellence. These providers understand the unique needs of families and members of the Sunshine Health Pathway to Shine Specialty Plan. The doctors and staff partner with parents, caregivers and community-based lead agencies to ensure the wellbeing of the kids in their care.

To qualify as a center of excellence, a provider must meet certain criteria that are evaluated by Sunshine Health. If approved, you will receive a logo for your website to designate your status as a FCCOE.
