Member Notice: Preferred Drug List Updates

Dear Member,
Starting on July 1st, 2018, there will be changes to the Preferred Drug List (PDL). Drugs on this list may need a prior authorization, which means you need approval from Sunshine Health before you fill your drug. Some drugs may need step therapy, which means you must try one drug first before you can try another drug. Other drugs are not on the list because they are not a preferred option.

If you are affected by these changes, please talk to your doctor. This should not conflict with your doctor’s advice. Only your doctor can decide which drugs are right for you. Your doctor may change to a preferred drug or if your doctor wants you to stay on the same drug, he/she will need to send more information to Sunshine Health.
