It’s important to see a doctor if you are planning on becoming pregnant, or as soon as you know you are pregnant. If you need help finding an OB-GYN, we can help. Use our Find a Provider tool or call Member Services at 1-866-796-0530.

While you are pregnant, it is important to keep an eye on your health and for your support system to listen to your health concerns. Learn more through the HEAR HER® Campaign – a CDC program that aims to reduce pregnancy-related deaths by educating the public about pregnancy-related complications.

Breast Pump Coverage

  • Manual Breast Pumps: As a Sunshine Health member, you can get a manual breast pump with a prescription from your doctor. Your doctor sends the order directly to our vendor, and the breast pump is shipped after your birth is confirmed.
  • Electric Breast Pumps*: Sunshine Health covers Electric Breast Pumps only after the mother has given birth. To receive an electric pump, your doctor can submit a script and supporting information directly to the vendor.
    • For Hospital Grade Pumps*: Your doctor can submit a script, supporting clinical information, and a Referral Form to the vendor. The request will be processed by us and we will send approval to the vendor for delivery.

Your chosen breast pump will be delivered after your baby is born.

*Prior Authorization is required and must be submitted after birth.

Protect Your Oral Health During Pregnancy

Getting good oral healthcare while you are pregnant is important. Pregnancy doesn’t only affect your gums, but keeping your mouth healthy protects your baby’s teeth, too. Bacteria that causes cavities can be passed down to your baby after birth.

When you enrolled in Medicaid, you were assigned one of the two statewide dental plans:
